What's on your plate? ... Wonderland Pasta

This meal is to honor the new and highly anticipated Alice's in Wonderland movie!!! A classic in the making :)

Thinking about having an Alice in Wonderland party with the girls or your kids at home?? Have Spaghetti Bolognese as your main dish and they would love it!! Let's just call it Wonderland Pasta (with Red Queen's tomato sauce, Crazy Mushrooms and top it with the White Queen's breath) anyone who's scared of mushrooms will start to love them !!

 

Ingredients: *3 tablespoons olive oil* 1 onion, chopped*1lb of beef mince (or a mixture of beef and pork mince)*1 carrot, diced*1/2 lb sliced mushrooms*2 cloves garlic, crushed*1 stick celery (with leaves), chopped*2 teaspoons dried thyme*1 sprig each of rosemary and sage*1 tablespoon basil (or 1 teaspoon dried)*1 tablespoon soy sauce*5 tomatoes, pureed*3 tablespoon tomato paste*Salt*½ lb dried spaghetti*parsley and black pepper to garnish*Grated Parmesan cheese, to serve.


What to do: In a medium saucepan, cook the onion in the oil until soft, add the beef mince with the garlic, and stir-fry until it browns. Add the carrot, celery, herbs, and soy sauce; insert the pureed tomatoes, sugar, tomato paste and the Crazy Mushrooms. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes, moving occasionally.
In the meantime, boil the spaghetti in plenty of water with a little salt and oil. (usually cooked for about 10 minutes to make it al dente. Drain and set apart. Season the sauce. Place the cooked spaguetti in serving plates. Top with the Red Queen's tomato sauce (Bolognese sauce), garnish with plenty of parsley and black pepper, finish with a little bit of White Queen's breath ( Parmesan cheese )...

Kid's Party: Serve your Wonderland Pasta in clear cups with fun colorful forks, place a label to each of them that reads "EAT ME"
