Hungry Caterpillar Party Ideas

I have been doing some research about "The Hungry Caterpillar" story because I'm making cookie favors for a Bday party this weekend...turns out! He's a really Hungry Caterpillar LOL...check this out!

His week:
He ate 1 apple on Monday, 2 pears on Tuesday, 3 plums on Wednesday, 4 strawberries on Thursday, and 5 oranges on Friday. On Saturday he at a piece of chocolate cake, an ice cream cone, a pickle, a slice of Swiss cheese, a salami, a lollipop, a piece of cherry pie, a sausage link, a cupcake and a watermelon. He got a tummy ache and on Sunday he ate the leaf.
(at least he keeps it sort of healthy!)

Well I found great inspiration at Catch My Party for this theme! I'll show you the cookies next week :)

Take a look at the inspiration!

And why not...a Hungry Caterpillar Hunt!!

Fun right?!

Enjoy!!

3 DIY Spring Crafts

I'm so excited Spring is officially here! ...well NJ is taking it's time LOL but we'll get there :)

I found 3 great DIY Spring Crafts that you can use to decor a beautiful Garden Party and the best part you can use them after wards to decorate your own home.

First DIY Craft: Create a Hankie Table Runner

How:
To make a table runner, measure the length of your table (plus overhang) to determine how many hankies you'll need (we used ten 12-inch squares for an 82-inch-long table). To connect the first two, flip them pattern side down, overlapping the edges by about ⅜ inch; pin, then stitch together. Continue attaching handkerchiefs in this manner until the runner is complete.

Second DIY Craft: Vintage Flower Vase

How:
Simply line up nine same-size vessels in three rows of three. Then wrap gardener's twine around the grouping twice and tie the ends. Finish the blooming display by placing two to three stems in each container.

and

Third DIY Craft: Rose Napkin Rings

How:
Brighten up your table for entertaining with these floral napkin rings. Buy faux roses in your favorite hues at a crafts store, then sew them, singly or in pairs, onto regular hair elastics with a few stitches.

Spring Cookie Bouquet

Spring is almost here! Can you feel it?

Beautiful flowers, fresh fruits and sunny days will be here in no time...have a Picnic party! and make this beautiful Spring Cookie Bouquet.

You will need:

Pretty Spring ribbon

I used 3 different ribbons. One with roses, one with strawberries and another one with polka dots.

Get inspired

Bake a couple of sugar cookies with lolli sticks inspired in the patterns of the ribbons you picked, The lolli sticks will help you to insert them inside the bouquet.

Put it together

1 metal bucket or box
Wrapping tissue paper
Small stereo foam piece
Spring ribbons
Clear tape

Clean your metal container. Place your stereo foam piece inside and cover with wrapping tissue paper, just as shown in the picture above.

Insert the lolli cookies one by one and be careful! don't try to force it into the stereo foam, sometimes you just have to look for another spot :) or your lolli cookie will brake.

Another option

If you don't have a metal bucket, you can use a pretty mason jar...they are easy to find at your grocery store.

Enjoy!!
