DIY: Cupcake Liner Pom Poms

Create these beautiful cupcake liner pom poms for your next party! They are gorgeous.

I found this easy DYI tutorial at How Does She, you must def check out all the great tips they share on this site :)

*You will need:

Step One:

Insert finger into cupcake liner and mold it around your finger. This will leave the base of the cupcake liner rounded (visible in the second photo).

Step Two:

Add a tiny dot of hot glue onto the middle of the rounded base (created in step one).

Step Three:

Press the cupcake liner onto the foam ball. Hold for a few seconds.

Step Four:

Press the cupcake liner together and reshape it so it does not flare outward.

Step Five:

Place the cupcake liners in close proximity to each-other. Should look something this this…

Step Six:

Continue gluing liners on the ball until it is completely covered. Voila! Finished!

Note:
White pom-pom: average-sized cupcake liners
Colored pom-pom: mini cupcake liners
It took about 100 mini liners and 40 average-sized liners to cover a 10 inch (diameter) ball. The amount of liners needed will vary depending on how you wish to space them on the ball.

Enjoy!!

Blackboard Cupcakes

Back-to-School!! surprise your kids with these cool cupcakes after a long day at school...you'll be idolized !!

*Ingredients*
  • Yellow, green, and white frosting
  • Cupcakes
  • Red Skittles or M&M's
  • Small plastic bag
  • Rubber band or twist tie
  • Chocolate-covered graham crackers
  • White Good & Plenty candies

*Instructions*
  1. Cover the cupcakes with yellow frosting and allow them to sit for an hour before decorating. Dab each red Skittle or M&M with a bit of green frosting for the apple's leaf, then set them aside.
  2. Put a tablespoon or two of white frosting into a small plastic bag for piping. Cut a very small hole in a corner of the bag, twist the top of the bag closed, and secure it with a rubber band or twist tie. Piping the frosting gently out of the hole, write messages on the chocolate-covered graham crackers. Leave space at the bottom of the cookie, where it'll be stuck into the cupcake.

  3. Cut a groove in the cupcake's frosting with a knife, then fit a blackboard into the groove. Add one Skittle or M&M apple and a piece of Good & Plenty chalk, as shown.

Friday Wedding: Whimsical Stylish Holly + Ryan Wedding

So excited to share with you this whimsical stylish wedding, again I found it in one of my favorite Wedding sites Green Wedding Shoes.

The couple has a strong sense of individual style. The Bride leans more vintage-loving + whimsical while the Groom (a true southern gentleman) embodies a more traditional sophistication.

Check the gallery...this wedding was perfect!!
Enjoy!
