Thursday Party: Old Mexican Romance

I'm super excited to share with you my very own Engagement Party!!

It was last Saturday at my future In Laws backyard. 

My fiance and I created all the decor and put it together with the help of his parents.

The theme was "Old Mexican Romance", laces, floral textures, salmon and aqua tones.

As favors we gave each friend a cactus, honoring my hometown Cd. Obregon, Sonora (a city in Northwest Sonora Dessert)

Also had a great time with this Mexican Luchador pinata!!

Sangria

This was absolutely my favorite drink by the shore this summer! It's a mix of fruits and your favorite wine...

If you haven't yet, you must try this at home:

Recipe shared by the Goosie Girl blog

Sangria

Mix the following in a large pitcher

1 bottle red Spanish wine

8oz Brandy (I used 2 shots)

12oz simple syrup (3 shots & a splash more for good measure)

8oz Orange Juice (a shot or two)

2 cans Sprite

Cut up assorted fruit (oranges, limes, lemons, apples) 

Mix all together

Enjoy!

Thursday Party: Frida Kahlo

Look what I found at Catch My Party...a Frida Kahlo theme party...I'm loving it, it is so original, colorful and playful!

The 6 little guests dressed up in gorgeous  Frida inspired style outfits, enjoy Mexican food, created their self portraits, decorated cupcakes and had a blast.
